Lazarus - come out!
Since I lost everything in 2001 I learned to relate to ghosts in a  whole new way. Ghosts refuse to understand that they are dead. They haunt the earth and people act like they're not there. If you have no money, or have no claim to fame, or if you've lost your job or business, rest assured, you will be ignored. And no matter what you have to say, no matter how valuable or important, no one will listen. It will be just like you are invisible. Such is the life of a ghost.
That is what I would say anyway if I did not have faith that there are good people living in this world. They may not be of this world, maybe they are really angels in disguise, but they are here. I know they are. And so I have decided to bring back the Lazarus Project and start calling out the holy ghosties to come forth like Good Samaritans, as a community. Remember I was telling you about the Lazarus Project ten years ago? I think it is finally time to do it.
Is this a PreLaunch? 
Interesting question. What do you suppose will be launched? What exactly are you thinking of? Do you suppose this is some sort of multi-level marketing teaser? Right now, I'd be thankful just to have someone to talk to. I'm calling out all the old ghosties. And I'm inviting new ones to the fold. For what? What does it matter? We're people. And we're alive! I just want to hear your stories. I want to catch up. And hey, if I could make you rich in the process, or you me, just for chatting with friends, is that a problem?

Did GhostSurfers really invent FaceBook?
 No, silly. That was the Vandervoss twins. Didn't you see the movie? GhostSurfers was supposed to be a search engine and social networking site that shared advert revenues with members. No law suits are planned. If you'd like to invest a few million dollars let me know and maybe we can get it restarted.
Hmmm. Restarted. I like the sound of that. We could be born again. This time without the snags. Hence, the Lazarus Project. "What's the Lazarus Project," you say? It's that tiny little bit of effort that is needed in order to make a resurrection work. You see, even Lazarus had to hop out of his burial clothes (John 11:1-44). A little bit of effort was involved. But it was worth it.

Send money. No, just kidding. That is, unless you can. Then why shouldn't you? But really. Just send me a note. Let me know what's up. I just don't want to be dead any more. And I don't want to hear from spam machines. Let's talk!

The Lazarus Project was initiated in 2001 as a response to the hacking incident. I believed then and I still believe, (now more than ever) that GhostSurfers.com will rise back up from the dead and fulfill its initial mission and development plan. FaceBook is worth over $26 billion right now. GhostSurfers.com had plans for features that were far superior to anything FaceBook has. There is absolutely no reason we can't move forward with that plan. In many ways it will be much easier to do now than it would have been back then because there is better browser support on both home and mobile PCs, as well as apps that can immediately be added to the flow thru. I am going to attempt to raise $50-100 million for this project. I am currently looking for an angel investor who will contribute $1 million so I can devote myself full time to raising these funds. Let My People Go!
That's the caption on the clock on my wall. [pictured below]. It has been there since September 2001 and it stays there until the Ghosties reappear- this time for good.
New Here?
Ghostsurfers.com was the web domain for Ghostsurfers Intl. The domain name was not renewed by the people I gave my company to. I have now purchased ghost-surfers.com so I can tell the story of the original GhostSurfers.com. (Don't get us confused with Ghostsurf - a software program that covers your tracks. We have nothing to do with that. And we are not associated with the punk band, Ghost Surfers, either. All those are new. They've taken our name, but probably quite innocently. No litigation is planned).
So anyway, you are probably wondering how it is that people got paid to surf the web. Wouldn't it be nice if FaceBook paid you by the hour to share with your friends? Well, that is exactly what we did. And it was no gimmick. You will notice that while FaceBook is running, there are advertisements on the right side of your page. That is how FaceBook makes some of their money. What we did, was we shared a portion of that revenue with our members. And the more friends you brought into the network, the greater your share. There were a few people who understood this back in 2000. That is why so many members joined so fast and Ghostsurfers.com became the leader in the Surf4Pay industry. Member Links Still Out There?!
On top of losing all my email correspondence and everything on my own computers, including all of the books I had written, I lost all of the corporate images during the hacking. The Russian programmers left their mark in the few files they let remain - not just on the server in Tallahassee, but also on my home computer. On the one hand I received emails asking for money for our contact data. On the other, they left a file called "russian.trojan" in the remains on my home computers. It was like leaving a fish in a newspaper, if you catch my drift. They had been led to believe, (incorrectly), that we had failed to pay for their programming. And they took revenge.
Not only did they delete the web site, but they deleted everything I had ever worked on - 11 books I had written, thousands of emails. (Does anyone out there remember those long emails I used to write?). In short, they very deliberately crippled me so I couldn't tell you what had happened or rebuild. So in thinking it might now be time to bring GhostSurfers up from the grave I had to go online to see if anyone had copied any of the Ghost Surfer images so I could get them back. Sure enough, even though the web site itself has been off line for more than seven years, there are still a number of member links pointing to Ghostsurfers.com member pages. And even though the pages themselves are long dead, a good many of our images were retrievable from the links pointing to them. The web has no system of archiving web sites, but the web still remembers.
